Bi-Annual Alumni Weekend
June 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM to June 17, 2012 at 11:30 AM
We hope that you will join us for this very fun and relaxing weekend at Ponacka. Many alumni come to camp with their families, giving their wives and children an opportunity to experience and finally understand, "the Ponacka experience". Alumni with children approaching camp age find the weekend a great way to introduce their children to the idea of sleep away camp. In 2010, both boys and girls greatly outnumbered the adults! The weekend is full of Ponacka traditions, polar bear dip, singsong, cabin inspection, sign up activities, PHL/PBA games, campfire and great food, including cinnamon buns! More details will be available in the new year.

Toronto Alumni Christmas Reunion
Wednesday, December 14, 2012
The Ponacka spirit is alive and well, judging by the turnout at the Pilot Tavern in Toronto. We were just delighted to have a good visit with many Ponackians young and old, from Vikki and Brian Dingle (1954-64 with a stint in the mid '80's as camp doc) to Ted Gorsline, on staff last summer in 2011. It was a pleasure to catch up with Chris White, Steve Coates, Rich and Anne Kinch, Hugh Shaw, Dwight Trotter, Hugh Mansfield, Paul Molnar, Alex Murphy, Rob Jarovi, John Turner, John Cowan (a counselor one summer in 1979!), Dave Shaw and James Macdonald.
Winter Day at Ponacka
February 12, 2011
Crisp air, blue sky and freshly fallen snow greeted the 30+ participants. Bob Clark's old wood stove in the Centennial Barn cooked the hot dogs and chicken noodle soup while the roaring fire in the fireplace kept everyone warm during lunch. A PHL game on the lake in the sail bay just beyond the wood working shop was a highlight -the ice was smooth under the snow and skating conditions ideal. Even the youngest ever participant, 11 month old baby Wyatt Wallace, son of Nick and Courtney was all smiles..
PHL... on ice!
